A cultura educacional e o golpe de 1964
Abstract
This essay studies the educational manifestations in the period of the Coup from 1964 to 1985. The focus of our study will be to understand, through a review of literature and documentary, how the educational culture in Brazil suffered disputes within a context of tension and institutional crisis that occurred since the intricacies to the Coup of 64, passing through the edition of Institutional Act nº 5, through the redemocratization processes until the consolidation of neoliberal policies as a strategic paradigm for State policies. The legislation at the time was professional in character, which was the keynote of a liberal-conservative thought, that is, the formation of citizens with moral values related to traditional institutions (family, work and property) and liberal in the economy. It is a controlled modernization project.
