Criopreservação na reprodução assistida

Abstract

It is stated that currently there are several assisted reproduction techniques working in the suppression of infertility, since there are several obstacles for pregnancy not to occur in the natural and known way. When a person or couple is diagnosed infertile, there is the possibility of resorting to other means, found in assisted reproduction techniques. In addition to the recurrent infertility caused by diseases or practices that interfere with reproductive health, there are other reasons why a person or couple may opt for this alternative, in the case of homoaffective and independent couples who need these techniques to form their families, such as, for example, adoption of cryopreserved and donated oocytes or sperm. Knowing that this technique is applied to different cases and for different reasons, psychological monitoring is essential so that the whole process is done in the best and most conscious way possible, thus being able to establish a doctor-patient confidence about what is possible and which does not suit your case. Therefore, the objective is to raise the positive or negative psychological aspects that oocyte cryopreservation entails for families or people who use this technique. This is a literature review, in which a selection of articles was made, using several databases and mostly Google Scholar. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were used to filter articles. Therefore, it is stated that cryopreservation can be a great ally of society to achieve the dream of having a child, in addition to enabling this dream for new family constitutions.
