Evidências sobre a eficácia do tratamento medicamentoso e de exercícios gerais em pacientes com dor lombar crônica inespecífica
Abstract
Low back pain is a common musculoskeletal pathology, of considerable health care, whose main symptoms are pain and/or stiffness located below the costal margin region and above the gluteal region, which can lead to disability (KOES et al., 2006). This was an integrative review of the literature which addressed the evidence on the effectiveness of drug treatment and the performance of general exercises in patients with non-specific chronic low back pain, having analyzed scientific studies published within the period from 2017 to 2022. The exclusion criteria were based on: other study models, published in other languages, indexed in repeated databases, which preceded the year 2017 and which did not directly address the proposed theme. The following databases were used: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and USA National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE/PubMed), in addition to SciELO. The objective of this work is to carry out a review of the types and effectiveness of treatment methods, whether pharmacological or non-pharmacological, such as general exercises, applied to patients with non-specific chronic low back pain in order to assess whether the strategies used add benefit and effectiveness in improving the condition.
