Novas estratégias educacionais utilizadas no processo ensino-aprendizagem em procedimentos básicos durante pandemia do novo Coronavírus
Abstract
Due to the advance of the new coronavirus pandemic, transformations in the economic and social environment and in the daily routine of the world population were necessary, therefore, immediate sanitary measures were established to contain the virus. Because of such scenario, the academic environment has also undergone constant adaptation processes and change, mainly due to the abrupt suspension of in-person activities. The subject of Basic Procedures, which is part of the first semester schedule of a university center in the interior of São Paulo, whose student learning objective is to understand and apply basic technical procedures in clinical practice, needed to be adapted to the situation of social isolation. Thus, after reflections and looking for new educational strategies, the discipline's professors proposed to carry out the changes, as the process of hardening or loosening of sanitary measures took place. Initially, videos were made up to demonstrate the performance of the procedures with the clinical anatomy, and as the return to practical activities took place, smaller groups of students returned to the unit's skills labs to exercise the practices, without leaving the importance of remote information passed through file postings before the performance of in-person activities, as an inverted classroom form, which the student builds his knowledge before the class taught by the teacher. This impact was shown to be relevant in medical education, as it seeks to associate the theoretical and practical since the first semester of graduation, favoring the TBL methodology, in which students are induced to critical, investigative, and reflective thinking. Even facing the suspension of practical classes difficulties, the importance of interdisciplinarity promoting horizontal education is clear.
