Characterization of the household canine population in the urban area of the city of Pradópolis/SP
Abstract
The aim of this study was to profile the owners of dogs and dog population domiciled in Pradópolis/SP. Therefore, we designed a questionnaire that contained 18 questions regarding the owner and the animal, which was applied to 15% of dog owners. The statistical analysis consisted of descriptive statistics by determining the percentage frequencies observed categories of variables (EXCEL, 7.0). According to the results, it was concluded that: the relationship of dog: inhabitant is close to the values stipulated by the who as s ideals, most dogs live in families legally constituted, the main race was found to SRD, lack guidance and application of disease control, feed management and reproductive management, in a more effective.
