Fisioterapia e cuidados ao paciente com complicações neurovasculares no contexto da atenção primária à saúde: relato de experiência
Abstract
Introduction: Peripheral vascular complications resulting from burns and revascularization can severely compromise functionality, especially in people with diabetes, requiring continuous care in Primary Health Care (PHC). Objective: To report the experience of physiotherapy in PHC in a patient with vascular and neuromuscular sequelae in the lower limbs. Methodology: This is an experience report developed at UMS Maguari, with biweekly appointments involving resistance exercises, balance training, and self-care guidance. Results and Discussions: Improvements were observed in muscle strength, mobility, joint range of motion, balance, and confidence in walking, in addition to benefits in physical and social well-being. Final considerations: Therefore, physical therapy proved to be essential for early and continuous rehabilitation, contributing to the comprehensiveness, longitudinality, and interdisciplinarity of care in PHC. Thus, the importance of the presence of physical therapists for the effective management of chronic conditions in the SUS is reinforced.
