Ações extensionistas na produção de informação sobre a pandemia para público local e regional
Abstract
The report discusses extension activities applied to journalism course in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, developed from April 2020, when in respect to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, the face-to-face academic activities of the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG ) have been suspended. TThe discussion systematizes the processes involved in the production and dissemination of the first 100 editions of the audio notices Bulletin Covid-19 - Information against the pandemic (Boletim Covid-19 - Informação contra a pandemia, in the original). The audio program is produced entirely online, following the Social Distancing guidelines, and aired for the first time on April 20, 2020. Students involved in reporting and editing use only mobile tools and online applications throughout the production process journalistic and broadcasting. Over the first 100 editions, the Bulletin addressed different developments of the pandemic, covering health, education, economy, among others, in more than 10 cities, with the main focus on Ponta Grossa, always with the centrality in the local and regional. To support the experience report, we debate concepts such as mobile journalism (SILVA, 2015), audiojournalism (VAISBIH, 2006), news deserts (DEOLINDO, 2018) and journalism and pandemic (FERRARETTO & MORGADO, 2020). Based on these and other authors, we contextualize the scenario that triggered the Bulletin Covid-19, the first production made completely remotely within the Journalism course at UEPG.
