A observação como "primeira" psicologia: sobre o uso da técnica para a formação e atuação profissional
Abstract
This article is the result of exploratory, qualitative, and bibliographic research on observation as a psychology technique applicable in different professional contexts. Initially, the archives of a specific academic library were explored, and the Scielo database was selected as the source. In the latter case, the search term "observation in psychology" was used, enabling the sample (n=12) to be constructed. The inclusion criteria were limited to observation discussed in psychology training processes or in the practice of psychologists. Thematic analysis enabled understanding of the following data: the definition of observation in psychology; and the modalities of the technique applied according to the required contexts and objectives. Ultimately, observation can be proposed as the primary psychology, given the nature of the instrument shifted from research to the professional sphere and its importance in the practice of the profession.
